Welcome to my blog.  I’m Nina and I moved to Germany on November 8, 2013 for the next three years.  I have always loved to travel but have lived in Maryland my whole life – until now.  2013 was a year of changes for me:  I got married in May and gave up my job as a kindergarten teacher in Silver Spring (which I loved) for the opportunity to live abroad.  My husband James was offered a new position and accepted it a few short months before.  I got certified to teach English as a Second Language over the summer and have since taken up new teaching experiences, as well as becoming a student of German myself.  I also have two cats, The Scootch and Raven, who moved with us.  During my time here, I plan to continue traveling throughout Germany and Europe and record stories of my experiences.  I hope you enjoy reading about this chapter of my life, titled after its uniqueness and my general attitude:  “I took the road less traveled by/And that has made all the difference” – Robert Frost.
